The difference between 13 and 7 is 6.
Half the difference is 3. 6 divided by 2=3
The number 10 is halfway between 7 and 13.
To find this out you can either add half the difference to the smaller number or subtract half the difference from the larger number.
The second way is to use a number line.
The third way is to add both of the numbers together and divide the sum by two. 13+7=20 20 divided by 2=10
1.) a. What are the whole numbers between 68 and 72? They are 69, 70, 71.
b. What are the whole numbers between 108.3 and 111.6? They are 109, 110, 111.
2.) a. What is the halfway point between 70 and 170? It is 120.
b. What is the halfway point between 1801 and 1813? It is 1807.
c. What is the halfway point between 18.4 and 6.2? It is 12.3

Excellent post Emily! It was very neat and it help me understood finding the halfway point. There is nothing much I could say about this, except maybe you should list the homework we have just in case people forgot to write it down.

ReplyDeleteGreat post Emily! i like the way you changed couloer of the important words. it was really helpful. and it was spaced out perfectly and there were so many good sentacnes that you could pick to make/find for them you picked a good picture it was very helpful. your link isin't the best link because it is just the definition and not a site that would help me or anyone learn more you need a link that would teach someone something exept for the definition and we already learned that in class. also some other words that weren't hilighted could have been but i like your vidio even though it wasen't on the right setting (i know it is hard to do some of it) and like someother people said you should have put the homework on. but i really like your post it is great and if someone (who diden't know anything about "how to find the half point") they would learn everything they would need to know to do a test and ace it. oveerall great post emily!
