You have a cup it has four coins in it there is a quarter, a dime,a nickel, and a penny
You draw one coin out of the cup then put it back then draw another coin. If the two numbers you drew from the cup add up evenly then you win if they add up oddly then you lose.
P(even sum)= 10/16 or 5/8 or 62.5%
P (odd sum)= 6/16 or 3/8 or 37.5%
A coin is flipped and a six sided die is rolled. these two events are called independent events. Independent Events- The outcome of one event has no effect on the outcome of another event.
Sample Space- All possible outcomes of an experiment.
