Practicing With BEDMAS ( Order of Operations )

Today during math, we used BEDMAS to answer these questions below.
If you don't know what BEDMAS means, make sure to check Kimberly's scribe post!

a)
2+3x4 =
2+12 =
14

b)
10-6÷2 =
10-3 =
7

c)
(2+3)x4 =
5x4 =
20


d)
(10-6)÷2 =
4÷2 =
2

e)
8÷2² =
8÷4 =
2

f)
4x3÷2+5 =
12÷2+5 =
6+5 =
11



g) Create a math equation including +, -, ÷, x, brackets and exponents. The answer must be 6 and you can't repeat any digits or use zero.

  5. Great job Marie! I really liked how you put a picture of the create a math question and next time you should put a bedmas link but it was still good.But I got something different I put (4x3)+12 divide it by 2 to the power of 2... But great job!

  9. Great job Marie, I got the same answers on the questions A-F. I also like how the picture is how you got question G. For G, i got (7+3)powered by 2 divided by 5x1-14=6

  12. Great post Marie! I agree with your answer for G. because you showed your work and it made sense. It also helped me to get my answer which is:
    (3x8)x1 squared %6+7-5=6
    Something that you could have done to make it better is you could have made the font a little bigger.

  13. Great job!! I agree with your answer because I did it in my head and I got the same answer. My question was (6 divided by 2)muliplyed by 4 to the exponent 1 + 3 subtract 9. I simplified it and got6. Next time I think you should make the important words bigger as well as change the colour which you did. GREAT JOB!!

  15. great job marie, i like the video on BEDMAS it really explained how and what to do.You really explained G to me because i got mixed up and ended with 5, but the only reason i got 5 was because i subtracted one to many i should have ended up with 6. So over all awsome work!!

  18. Your blog post was very good! Your answer is correct and I know so because you explained it very well!For my answer I got (3x8)x1 squared %6+7-5=6 I'm pretty sure it's right because I looked it over a lot of times.

  24. I really like your post Marie. I liked the video because it helped me understand B.E.D.M.A.S. better and I also liked the picture of how you showed your answer. I agree with your equation for G and the equation I got was 6 squared divided by 4+(5x1)-8.
